Seminars with educational presentations- “Water Talks”
This is one of the most popular events organized by the CWRA SYP Vancouver team and infamous for being seats filled out within 3 days! The objective of these seminars is to help people network and share their water related knowledge. A typical “Water Talks” includes captivating presentations from numerous speakers representing local municipality, consulting area and active research area. This event also includes networking sessions to help people meet their local experts.
Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup
Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup has been a great way for volunteers to join with their communities to tackle the problem of litter on their local shorelines. It happens nationwide, and in 2016 more than 100,000 km of litter was removed from over 3000 km of shoreline! Each year CWRA SYP Vancouver team organizes this event and collects garbage bags full of trash. The trash statistics is typically used by the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup to study the sources of shoreline litter and the impacts of litter on people and wildlife.

Tours
In past, the group organized treatment plant tours, watershed tours, and brewery tours focussing on various aspects of water usage and water pollution control.
Blue Drinks
Blue Drinks is an informal networking event, typically a collaborative event jointly organized with other similar water organizations. These events help people network and meet local water professional, students and researchers.
World Water Day
World Water Day has been celebrated by numerous people across Canada. The day focuses attention on the importance of universal access to clean water. CWRA SYP Vancouver Chapter celebrates this special day each year with a series of events such as seminars, formal and informal networking sessions, often in collaboration with other local Water organizations.
